Now! I understand why these lamps are so popular. I have had a lava lamp in the Games Room for a couple of years. Unfortunately, I knocked the ‘lava’ section of the lamp over while dusting and it was never the same again. The Rock Salt Lamp is actually better than the lava lamp, because it looks pretty with, or without the light on. With the light off, it is this lovely kind of frosty pink colour. With the light on, it turns into this lovely warm-orange and gives off a subtle room-filling light. I understand now why people use these as night lights in bedrooms, as they give off a very relaxing glow. I use the lamp as background illumination while the lights are off and the projector is running, if you want to use the lamp as a night light, you might be better off getting one with a dimmer switch. I am just glad I bought the smallest lamp (1-2Kg), because the rock I received is still quite big. It is also nice to know that they are all unique. One thing I learnt though, is that a search for replacement bulbs often brings up the heat resistant bulbs you find in ovens. But there are ‘proper’ salt lamp bulbs that have a slight deliberate tint to the bulb glass. These ones work the best.

Ordered for same day delivery because my other LED light was giving me headaches, arrived by 7pm, really heavy lamp, bulb and stand included, gives a lovely warm glow, yet to see how I sleep with it as it isn’t bedtime yet But already looks lovely and cosy in my bedroom with the soft glow!

I love it! Such a beautiful ambient glow.When it first arrived I was concerned because there were patches which were darker, almost dirty looking, even though I knew it was natural salt & that’s what happens its just the way natural salt is & nothing to do with the seller. If your lamp looks like this then get a soft, damp cloth and gently rub it, the discolouration will simply come away. Don’t get it very wet though otherwise it’ll dissolve!

Bought as decoration for my desk and it’s lovely! You need to put the blub in the lamp when it comes, which is really easy to do. Can’t say anything about the supposed health benefits, I only bought it to look nice, which it does.

Fantastic product, came on time which was a bonus too.I was unsure how bright this would be but spot on for my smallish bedroom. Lights the room up well but not too bright.No issues at all, came in good packaging with a bulb.*Caution! I had read several reviews regarding bulb not working or worked for one day then bulb blew etc. Please be mindful that this bulb has a delicate element inside it, so if you are subjecting it to small bangs/knocks them it certainly will break this element preventing it from working. This could also happen in transit I guess. Mine was working perfectly and took my time not to handle the bulb too heavily. Gently and you’ll be fine.Comes with on/off rocker switch.Would definitely purchase another from here.
